Im looking at wall quotes about being a princess. I was never a girly girly growing up but now as an adult I am. I love my SHOES!! and I want to put alot of girly quotes of decals on our DD wall. I have some contenders...
"I don't need prince charming, I have Daddy"
"Has anyone seen my slipper"

PB Kids Hayley skirt, sheet, and blanket. It has birds, owls, trees, and butterflies on it. I want to put a big decorative bird cage that i've had for years in there on her dresser. Use pretty bird houses from Home Goods as decor. So I thought a tree decal going up the wall next to her crib and extending over it may be pretty. I also liked the puffy pom things i've seen on Etsy.
We're painting the room a peachy-pink color and thinking of getting it in light grey. It'll be a princess/storybook "theme" that we're piecing together.
BTW, the site in the link has an AMAZING selection. It was posted here a while ago and I fell in love.
We're doing an all-over polka dot stencil just a few shades lighter than the wall color on the crib wall. Then I'm going to make something similar to this (the you are my sunshine one) to hang above the crib, but in the colors of her room (blue/gray, pink and yellow):

I've saved this in my pinterest ideas . . . If I can find and repurpose/paint a cool mirror like this (from Youn g Hous e Lo ve) blog - I'll do it in either a teal or apple green color. Its just a matter of finding a cheap mirror somewhere in the next few months!

My thought is we can reuse them as photo book covers.
And then we have their karyotype that I'm going to (hopefully) make look interesting -- or overlay on to a picture -- or something that will go up on the wall, too.
We are doing some sort of decal or maybe a stencil. I think etsy has really good ones. I can't make a decision since there are so many I like. Most likely some sort of flower thing. Or maybe her name, or both.
We are putting her name in white wooden letters that we purchased off an etsy seller. Here's a picture of the font and I will post another picture once it comes in and we've hung it!
Emerson Kate born 4/6/12, 5 lbs. 13 oz. 18 3/4 inches.
Definitely the baby's name, but really struggling with plain white or something with color. I like the plain, but don't want her nursery to be too stark if we don't incorporate colors.
Thinking either of these:
Our bedding is lavender Harper & Mini Dot from PBK. Walls are lavender and furniture is dark cherry.
Re: What are you putting over babys crib? (On the wall?)
I'm really not sure! Is it bad to hang things on the wall behind the crib? I ordered this artwork set... so maybe this...
ETA: Kind of hard to see but one print is of letters and the other has numbers

We're making name letters similar to this:
I also ordered some paper lanterns to hang above the crib for an affect similar to this:

I'm going to make these (on the computer, print like an 8x10 photo, different colors) for the boys for their naming ceremony:

but am unsure if I want them on the walls or not...
We're pretty simple.

That's the link for the pirate mast we are doing over his bed. Not the bedding though- we're doing blues and browns.

It looks so good!
We'll probably do something similar to what we did for DD: alphabet cards spelling out her name in frames.

I want this! Where did you get it?
I just ordered one of these canopy thingies:
And will put vintage frames grouped on both sides of it:
Also got this chandelier...I'm so excited!
Etsy! They arrived today and they're really cute. https://www.etsy.com/shop/ModernPOP

Like this, but probably without the batman or spiderman, just the cityscape. I'm also going to paint The Daily Planet in the background.
I love the canopy! We are also going with a chandelier although we haven't found the one we like yet. You have great taste!
