The biggest thing that helped me get through it last time was a tennis ball. I had back labor (the baby's face was the wrong way and it hurts your back). My DH rolled the tennis ball really hard on my back with each contraction and it made the back pain bearable. I don't know what I would have done without it! It's definitely being packed in my bag again!

WOAH!! I am wishing for your birth this time! Mine was so long but I also had to go on muscle relaxers due to pre-e so it basically stopped my contraction. I then had to have pitocin which got things going again. It definitely wasn't a short labor.
I am hoping this time is fast too. I have fast labors...about 6 hrs w/DD, 1 hr w/DS...they told me when I had DS that next time I need to move in a week or two before I am due to avoid having the baby in the car or at home! LOL Who knows...we will see.

Thanks for the tip!
I just used one. I think for me, 2 wouldn't have worked because he had to press REALLY hard. I noticed 2 weeks after DD's birth that I had this really dry patch all over my back. I couldn't figure out what it was until I realized that DH had rubbed the skin off. If the back labor wasn't as bad, 2 would probably feel lovely. Doesn't hurt to bring both options.
Makes sense! Thanks
