I got a "mommy cut" when I was about 23 weeks along with DD and maintained it throughout and and after she was born. Now looking at pictures, it wasn't flattering.
By the time I had her (and a month or two after) my face was swollen and with short hair....just didn't mix for me.
I have since grown my hair out long and plan to keep it that way for awhile.

I've been growing out a really bad(short) haircut from 2 years ago and am finally at a place where I am okay with the length. I find it easier to style long - blow dry and done, as opposed to needing lots of products, blow dry and flat iron and whatnot.
With longer hair I can also pull it into a ponytail or braid if I'm tired/lazy.
One of my bff's had gorgeous, straight blonde hair naturally. After she had her girls, she dyed it brown and permed it so that she wouldn't have to style it. It doesn't suit her at all, and her normal, straight hair was MUCH prettier. I wouldn't change too much from the norm.
That being said, with the cut I have now, all I have to do is wash and go. So I won't be doing anything different.
I have very long hair but have been thinking of cutting it off b/c I'm tired of the top knot. However, like above poster, this is the reason I'm not doing it. I don't need my hair to round out my face when it's already full from pregnancy weight. Plus, once LO is here and I have no time to shower and/or do my hair, pulling it back and out of my face will be a benefit.
After I had DS I cut my hair into a longish bob, and it was fine, but I did regret that I couldn't tie it back once he was in the grabbing stage. I might cut it shoulder length or just a bit longer once this LO arrives, just for a change.
Cute, but I'd have to say no to the "bangs" They'd fall right in my face!

I've had my hair in bobs of various lengths for years now. As much as I'd like to grow it out, long hair doesn't suit me. I plan on keeping it like this, but the DH is trying to push a longish crop (like Katie Holmes had when she had short hair).

I read in a couple of places to never drastically change your hairstyle while pregnant. I thought it made sense because in the past I have only done drastic things with my hair when in a highly emotional or hormonal state.
Also, I find that short hair is a complete pain in the @ss because you have no choice but to style it. I've purposely been growing my hair out over the last few months so it will be long enough to keep back in a ponytail after the babies get here. That's the only hairstyle I can guarantee being able to pull off in the first few weeks postpartum. I also went back to my natural color because I know I won't have the time, the desire or the money to keep up with hair coloring.
This exactly! They told us in cosmetology school to really talk to pregnant ladies and make sure that they were positive that's what they wanted... that said, I think short hair is waaayyyy harder to maintain. I probably will never chop my hair off again.. it's so much easier to throw it in a ponytail or messy bun
