if your water is leaking will it leak without stoping or can it leak a little and stop and leak a little and stop? I had a little leaking but I'm not sure if it was just pee. It stoped and I am waiting to see if it comes back. I tried to go pee but didn't have to.... Who would have known that being pregnant could make you feel so dumb about your own body!

I was told that it would be a pretty constant leak. They said it's generally enough where you will get at least a few drips down your leg too, even if it is just leaking and not a huge gush. I went to L&D a couple weeks back thinking my water had broken, but it was just discharge (yeah gross!) and OB said an increase in discharge at this point is normal. Keep an eye on it, and if you're still not sure call your doc and they will tell you what to do

Well, my OB said either "a gush or steady trickle"... so I would assume if it stopped multiple times that it's not your water.

But again, it could be different!

I think everything is just a big grey area at this stage of pregnancy. And it drives me BSC.

While brushing my teeth the other morning in the buff (just felt like it I guess) I gagged a little on my toothbrush and felt a trickle down my leg...

I had just gone pee, so I thought for half a second that it could be my water breaking. I didn't start having any regular contractions or anything. I just kept an eye on it all day and I came to the conclusion that it I infact, just tinkled on myself lol.

Depending on how baby is positioned their head can "plug" the cervix. Your water can break and trickle out and then the head engages and acts as a stopper preventing more from coming out. You move or change positions which causes LO to move and a little more leaks out and then the head pulgs the cervix again. Have you put on a pad? Some ladies wear one and after an hour check to see how wet it is. If it's pretty wet they call their dr or head to the hospital. If it's fairly dry they wait. If you're concerned and have any reason to think your water may have broken, call your doctor and speak with them. They may have you come in to be checked just to make sure.

I swore I broke my water for all of 30 seconds the other day on the toilet. I went pee. I thought I was done, so i wiped and started to stand up, more came out. Well all be damned i thought, I just emptied my bladder...

I sat back down and waited, more trickles. Turned out I just had not emptied my bladder totally. Most likely because the bladder or urethra was blocked a bit my LO's head? Who knows....

But boy, was I excited for that 30 seconds of "not knowing."
