Gross Incision Question.....????

So I  had my c-section 3 weeks ago, I feel great and the doctor says the incision is healing well. It doesn't bother me except it has this foul odor, there is a little bit of seeping but the doctor says that is perfectly normal and to just keep it as dry as possible. I've cleaned it like I've been instructed to,but has anyone else had this problem???  I know its gross, It is driving me nuts!!!

    If you have a foul odor, it is probably infected. My incision opened up 2x, and got infected, but never smelled.  I went to another doctor after the second time, to get another opinion because my original OB just kept blowing my concerns off.

    I vote infection too. I would either see another ob in the practice or go back to your original and just voice your concerns more so than before.

    Mine did that, and a had part of one of my dissolving staples poking out.  I went in to have it looked at and it wasn't infected.  Once she pulled the piece of the staple out it stopped seeping.  I'd definitely go in just to have it looked at if you haven't already, but I thought for sure mine was infected and it wasn't. 

    Also, they told me to clean the area 5 times a day at least and make sure it's super dry with a hair dryer.  It helped too.

    That happened with my first c-section, and it was definitely infected. My OB took it very seriously, I had to come in once a week until she was sure it was ok. She had to clean it out with a saline solution, and I had to keep gauze on it and clean it myself more often. I'd honestly get another opinion, it can lead to more serious issues.

    The odor screams "infection" to me.  Get a second opinion because an infected incision can be very serious.

    If your incision has odor and drainage it is infected.  When I discharge my patients after they deliver this is exactly what I tell them is a sign of infection and that they need to call doc.  If you OB is brushing off this odor and drainage, see someone else.  You could have an infection that is turning into an abcess under the skin and that's no bueno ( no good).
