I'm looking for a new, really good, travel coffee
mug/tumbler. Does anyone know if there are any brands with non-plastic
inners? It seems like they all are. Even if they are BPA free, with
the hot liquid, it still scares me!
Thanks!!

Re: Rec your travel coffee cup!
My hubby LOVES his Contiga travel mug. It's stainless steel on the inside and out. It also is about the ONLY one that he's had that has held up well and hasn't leaked.

This is what I have too and I love it. My H does too, apparently, because he stole mine last night. lol
I had the mug mentioned above, but didn't like it. I liked that it is stainless steel, and the mug part is great (keeps drinks a good temp, etc.). The lid never leaked, but pressing the button that opened it often caused it to spray and i could never get the underside of the lid clean because of all the grooves.
I am in love with my new mug: https://www.kleankanteen.com/products/insulated/klean-kanteen-insulated-16oz.php. I think the 12 oz would be better, but i accidentally ordered the 16, and it's fine. It comes with a leakproof top that is stainless steel/plastic-free. I use it with the cafe cap. The cafe cap is not leakproof, but is easy to clean. It keeps drinks hot longer than my old mug did (even with the sipping lid), and fits in regular cup holders.
TIPS FROM A BARISTA:
First, definitely get a double-walled metal one if for keeping drinks the hottest for the most amount of time. Starbucks has several great looking ones I love (disclosure: I work at a Starbucks) and the lid I looked at today was #5 plastic (one of the safer plastics according to https://healthychild.org/5steps/5_steps_5/). Metal is worth the small amount of extra money if you want to keep your drinks hot.
Starbucks makes lids options including flip open, twist open, and roll open (I don't know what the rolling ball is made of though). They recently had a sweet ceramic one, too, but I keep that in the house since it's more breakable.
I imagine any double-walled stainless steel tumbler with a #2, 4 or 5 plastic lid would be great. However, whatever travel tumbler you get:
--don't put the lid in particularly hot water (that means no dishwasher) or the seal will warp and leak, and
--be sure to have the top open while you screw the top on or it'll leak (I don't know why but it does).
