Every time I cough or sneeze, I get a shooting pain in my lower abdomen. Takes my breath away, and it lasts for 30 secs to 2-3 minutes. It makes me a little nervous...but as a ftm I don't know if I'm overreacting or if I should call the doctor.
I call the doctor for anything that has me worried regaurdless if I think I could be overreacting or not. Better safe than sorry in my oppinion. I hope it's nothing to be worried about though.
When in doubt, call the doctor! If I sneeze laying down on my back my lower abdomen feels like I am being stabbed, so I understand. Still, call the doc and be sure!
Those are round ligament pains. Always be prepared - bend over a tad (or pull your legs up a little if you are sitting) & hold/support your stomach when you cough or sneeze! They hurt! It's completely normal though. :-)
I have that same thing happen to me... Usually when I sneeze if I'm laying down but ive felt it when I cough too. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow and it's on my list of questions to ask. It definitely is a scary feeling. I will post again tomorrow after I talk to my doctor and let you know what she says.

Yes! Please post! It didn't happen again so I didn't call the dr....watch it'll happen like 10 times tonight lol. Now I just have a dull ache, but I assume this is very normal with the LO stretching their home out.
Ok so my doctor said its totally normal! She said even though it feels like a sharp pain in your uterus it's actually the ligaments on either side of it. I guess we just have to brace ourself a little better when we sneeze or cough

This happens to me all the time and it's RLP. If you feel uncomfortable though, call your doc.

This. I find that it comes in waves. I might get it for a couple days in a row and then not for a while and then it will come back again.
