Anyone still pregnant??

I am 5 days over. 50% effaced, 1-2 cm dilated, 1st membrane sweep yest with no success (yet?), baby is 'low'. Going for a biophysical profile tomorrow am.

My blood pressure is fine, i am pretty comfortable, no swelling in the slightest- just impatient!

I REALLY dont want to be induced though.

Anyone else in the same boat?

Yup. But I wasnt even dilated enough at my appointment yesterday for the midwife to attempt to sweep my membranes. She said that I have until 42 weeks before we start talking induction, which I'd also like to avoid.

So they are letting you go to 42 weeks.. that's good. Apparently after my BPP tomorrow they may put me on the induction list (for some reason, it makes me think of death row.. ba ha ha)... but I dont see any reason for it yet unless they find something wrong with baby tomorrow. But apparently if L and D calls you to come in you can say no, not yet.

stil pregnant here, was due the 26. I have had no progress and I'm scheduled for an induction starting sunday evening. I honestly wish I could go earlier, I'm very uncomfortable and swollen. I feel like baby is getting to big for my body and I'm going to end up with a failed induction and c-section. I just want my baby, I'm over this.

Good luck mommas I hope we all have our outside babies soon!

I"m not much of a poster but I thought I'd share that I'm still pregnant too... I was due Dec 30th... no baby yet! I not sure that dilation and effacement mean much in terms of when the baby is coming but I was 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced on the 30th..(also lost my plug that day)...Going for another Ob appt today. My Ob has scheduled an induction for the 7th so I've been walking, bouncing on my ball (among other things) to try to get him out. At this point it looks like the induction is going to happen.. I just hope that I have a good experience.

I'm wondering.. how many of you are having a boy? I'm expecting a boy and have heard that boys like to hang in there haha.

I hadn't heard that, but I'm having a boy. My mom also went 2 weeks over with me, so I've always assumed that I would go past my due date. But I am starting to worry about him the longer he stays in there. At this point I feel like the risks of further gestation (placental deterioration and meconium aspiration) outweigh the benefits.

stubborn little boy here, that is what the nurse said at my last appointment.. boys always like to hang out and are stubborn. Come on little man!

Me! I was also due on the 30th. At my appt yesterday I was at a 3 and 70% and -1 so my dr scheduled an induction for this morning. So here I am! Just got hooked up to the pitocin and I was at a 4 and 80% when I got here. Hoping Audrey is here today!

Still pregnant here, too. I was due on the 27th, and as of yesterday was 4cm & 80% and really low...just waiting on my uterus to take a hint and start having regular contractions. I get pretty intense ones now, just not consistent. I have an ultrasound scheduled for tomorrow, and if everything looks OK there they'll schedule me for induction at 42 weeks.

And yep, another stubborn boy! Come on, baby...get out of there!
