does anyone else have restless leg syndrome? if so what helps? i told my dr i think i have it and he simply replied"well you're big and pregnant, its normal" i need some relief!
My expecting pregnant friend has a banana a day to help. I guess it is the potassium
My OB also recommended uping the potassium. I drink milk before bed and take tums because someone told me taking in more calcium helps too! It seems to. I haven't had an issue in almost a week!

the banana a day thing does help (if you like bananas lol or any potassium rich food rather) Also low Iron (Iron deficiency anemia) makes it RLS worse-if you are anemic make sure your taking your iron supplement as prescribed) This is my problem and since I've started on the Iron my legs have gotten much better HTH!

My OB basically said the same thing, so I took matters into my own hands. I can't stand it! I did some research on my own, and found that it can be linked to an iron deficiency. I have also been craving and munching on ice like it is nobody's business (which is also a sign), so yesterday I picked up an Iron supplement...and hope this helps the problem. Iron deficiency in pregnancy is VERY common due to the extra blood your body produces. Also, I all for trying the banana a day (or two) to see if that helps.

My doctor pretty much told me the same thing. Ive tried the banana a day, drinking more water/milk & even taking calcium pills but I still get it at night, every night. It drives me crazy. I guess I should try taking iron pills
