So, with my first kid I had ZERO nesting instinct. With this baby, I had a little housework cleaning and that was about it... except for getting the bottles ready.
We already have a full supply of Dr.Brown's bottles from DS#1, and I noticed a bit of calcification/white residue on the inside of the nipples and some of the bottles themselves - most likely from numerous trips through the washing machine without rinse-aid.
I boiled all of the nipples, flanges, and straws to sanitize them, but it didn't get the calcification off. I was seriously upset, and would not rest until ALL the nipples were clean...which meant 35 minutes at the sink washing each individual nipple with soap until they were clear. I had to close the drawer so I wouldn't start on the bottles... for some reason it's just the calcification that I can't stop thinking about and MUST rid all bottles of it!
Do I feel weird or what...
