On a clean out roll...which mean I realize my kid has too many clothes!

I've been working on doing one room at a time so I don't get over whelmed w/ organizing and clean out.  Right now I'm working on the kitchen/dining room.  Well as I was putting the laundry away I opened DD's underwear/sock drawer and it was a disaster.  I remembered I had dividers from her baby days.  I dug these out and decided to just organize that one drawer.  I ended up tossing out old socks and undies.  Then I started putting back the stuff that still fit.  As I was doing this I noticed how many pairs of undies she had so I figured I'd count them.  50!  Yes 5-0! I told her that in the morning when she gets dressed if a pair of undies are too small to put them in a bag so we can get rid of them.  They are all the same size but different styles so I know some might be a bit too small.

I'm loving this feeling of getting rid of stuff and organizing.

  • Awesome! I've been doing that with DS's clothes. I need to go through like 5 bins of clothes to sort and sell/donate. The sad/good thing is that so many were barely worn! He picks a favorite and wears it to death and the rest just sort of sit.

Riley has shirts like that too, and worse PANTS.

It is great you are getting through everything. I did DS's room before Christmas so now I need to do our room, which frankly is now the junk room because we have so much crap. I need a storage unit, or a house.
