  I get what you described too and I don't think they are imminent labor contractions...maybe small early ones or powerful BH

  That could be it. They can give you different kind of sensations. It can start in the back and then basically go around your waist and into your tummy.

  I get a menstrual like cramp (it feels exactly the same) and it just hangs on and the belly gets rock hard. They last anywehre from 20-40 secs... My doc said those are the good exciting contractions.. Whatever that means lmao

  sometimes i get them just in my back or just in my stomach-haven't had any that wrap around...my doc was kinda ambivalent about what it meant when I asked...do you ever get them just in back or in front but not both?

  I get them in both the front and back at the same time. When it is in the front it is really low and mirrored in the same spot in my back (just like the good ole menstrual cramps I haven't had the pleasure of feeling for 8.5 months!).
