I got the green light from my doctor this morning and, well, DH and I just couldn't wait until tonight. I was so nervous that it would hurt, or not feel as good as it used to. But I was seriously pleasantly surprised to find out that it was better than it ever has been! I don't know if it's because it had been so long, or if it's all the hormones I've got going on right now, or what. It was uncomfortable at first, but once things got going I didn't feel any pain, and I got really into it. I'm a little sore now but nothing that bothers me much.
Oh, and for the record, DH did say it felt a little different than it used to, but part of that was because we were using a condom (I was on the pill before TTC so we never used to). But he still seemed to enjoy himself, and I've heard that in time things will get a little more normal down there.
Sorry if this is a total over-share. It's just something that I was always worried about, so I thought I'd share my experience for anyone who hasn't done the deed yet. Good luck ladies!
Re: Post-baby nookie (Seriously TMI)
I'm sorry it didn't go so well for you. I hope it gets better soon!
I had a vaginal delivery with a 2nd-degree tear, so I was surprised it didn't hurt more. And I know what you mean about being in the mood...my sex drive tanked during pregnancy, so I'm glad to see it's back now.
Diagnosed with Anti little c antibodies. DS1 7.11.11 - Anaemia and Jaundice. 10 days in the NICU, 1 exchange transfusion and 4 blood transfusions. DS2 29.8.13 - Anaemia 7 days in the NICU and 1 exchange transfusion. Both are now happy and healthy.Okay, this might be dumb, but why is it painful if you had a csection? I thought the pain was from giving birth vaginally and tearing/getting cut/stretching, etc.
To OP: It felt better than ever after my 2nd daughter, hoping its the same this time too!
Out of curiosity because I had a c/s too, any specific positions work best? I'm feeling pretty good around my incision but I'm scared that when we are cleared I will hurt worse. Obviously girl on bottom would hurt a lot but if you found anything else especially painful please pass it along so I know better what to avoid
thnx
The pain comes from the giant incision across my belly and lack of ab muscle control for me. That and I dilated to 10 and pushed for over an hour so I'm concerned that things will be sore up there, they were for a few days pp.
So jealous.
I go on the 11th to get my Implanon and my Dr says to wait 4-6 weeks so hopefully after 4 I will be fine. I am so ready. Although, I have no idea how we will be able to do it. We bed share and DH won't leave the baby alone.
