Switching Formula

The Dr. had Dso Babies on Enfamil Gentleease Melanie was brestfeeding but also supplimenting as she was not making enough for two more like 1.5 and he recommended this mix because he said it will be easier on theior tummies to go back n forth.  This is when they were getting 80% Breast and 20 formula well at almost 6months in a few days  at our last visit he said we can do regular formula and now Melanie is about 50% breast and 50% formula .. my question is ca we just switch  or is it a ween thing?  Like mix the gentelease and the new formula together over a period of time ... Just wondering ..

We still have lots of formula so we have held off on the switch but now our gentelease supply is low and well i think we need to figure out if we ween or just give it to them.  

WHAT WOULD YOU DO ... and of course I will ask our DR also but at our next visit  on the 13th

    You can probably just switch cold turkey - unless they won't take it - and then you will have to wean (ie.75% Gentlease/25% new formula and gradually decrease the Gentlease and increase the new.)
