I've felt lightheaded, dizzy, and have had a slight headache all day. Has anyone else ever experienced that? I just switched over to the Up & Up Gummies with DHA.
I just switched from regular vitamins to the same ones & have been having headaches EVERY DAY for the past week. I didn't even consider it could be the vitamins, but now that I think about it it happened at the same time. Hmmmm...
DHA does have side effects for some ladies. I get exacerbations of my panic disorder on DHA. I have started DHA and stopped it multiple times, and the panic attacks come with the DHA, and stop when I stop it. I actually Googled it and did find a link. Something about an effect on the brain.
Also, the iron in some prenatals can be hard for women to handle. Including headaches.
Try a Flintstone with a 400mg folic acid supplement. It's the only vitamin I can handle on a regular basis. My RE says this is fine.

I switched prenatals three or four times due to headaches and found that it was due to the "extras" in the vitamins that hold them together. I never tried gummies, but I couldn't take the binders in regular vitamins. I take ones that come in capsule form and I've been fine. Also, iron bothers some women, like another poster said. Try switching to another brand?
I have the Nature Made with DHA and have not experienced any side effects. My bottle does say that the vitamin needs to be taken with food, which I always do. I got a small pill box with a few inside to carry in my purse in case I forget to take it at home.
Re: Prenatal Vitamins + DHA Side Effects?
