Sweatpant gate'09 below reminded me of BabyGate that not long after sweatpant gate. I was wondering if someone would bring up the lack of activity on the Nest today. That would be a post I would be interested in rereading.

Are there things to talk about that AREN'T kid related?

Honestly though, I think the problem is.. The core group of nesties sort of all started out there together.. within maybe 2 years of each other.. and that was like 5-6 years ago now. Once you all get past the initial "just married, new house, thinking about kids", stage.. there isn't that much that everyone has in common anymore.. Those that have kids have mostly moved over here.. those that haven't.. are probably all at really different places in their lives for whatever reason and don't have that much to talk about anymore.

totally dead- the issue was all of us were having kids, etc at the same time and posting about that on the nest and the few who werent made a stink- so the mommies and soon-to-be mommies came to the bump and since we really were the main posters- the board died...

(and i totally think its hysterical that one of the main, "why dont you mommies go post on the bump" people- now posts here....)

I think a lot of you were the most frequent posters so when you came here it got so quiet. Then it turned into no one posts so no reason to go there. I don't mind any baby talk which is why I came here...thanks for having me.

Abba- not sure if I was the one you were talking about - I hadn't posted on any boards in a while and then I asked why people weren't on the bump, but it wasn't a big deal to me. I can't believe how long ago that was too.. so many babies & mommas now!!

I used to post on TN occasionally, but it was verrrryyyy slow. Now that I can't play around on my computer at work and its too much of a pain to check multiple boards from my phone. I pop in about once a week or so, but there's never anything going on. Come on over here, Mitzi!! This is a pretty lively group!

yeah, I used to check it maybe a few times a week. I haven't even looked at the board in a few months.

Who was that? I remember the argument but not who was on which side. Though I do remember someone telling me to stop crying in my cheerios when I said I didn't want everyone to jump ship to the bump because I couldn't access the bump from work.

I remember this. I had been watching this page, hoping someone would come on it because of the overwhelming opinion on TN that kid talk wasn't wanted. When everyone else jumped ship, I tagged along Embarrassed .

I also didnt mind the baby talk on the nest... I was of the opinion: "If i dont want to read a post, I won't open it" ... but then TN board died, and I loved when I got pregnant so I could finally post over here and be part of the action... esp because there are so many NBR posts over here anyways....
