We were gifted a Bjorn for DD but returned it due to a) low weight limits and b) reviews about hip damage. I'd like to get a carrier for LO #2.
I don't plan on wearing baby that often and definitely not for more than an hour at a time so extended comfort is not a huge deal. The Ergo and Beco are a bit more than I want to spend for something I won't use much. Can anyone recommend a carrier in the 50ish price range?
Re: Rec your carrier
Didnt Honkytonk make them at one point..or am I thinking of someone else?
I am no help, I never had one. I think it is an awesome idea though.
have the moby & hated it, it was too much fabric for me & p hated it too. he'd scream bloody murder in it & scratched the daylights out of my neck & chest everytime i tried it. i wanted to like it!!
we also have the snugli, which was what worked best for us when p was small but he outgrew it around 20lbs (it said had a limit of 25lbs but there was no way he was still fitting in there). plus, mine is probably about 1.5yrs old & was all black, i'm pretty sure it was less than $30 but i couldn't find anything remotely near that, best i could find was this cute camo one-it looks like it's almost identical to ours

and since he outgrew the snugli around 5mns, we got one that is supposed to hold up to 35lbs, it was on clearance at our babies r us for somewhere around $35-$40. i figured i could at least hold him for another year or two with the higher weight limit or use it for baby #2 as well.

I tried the Moby too but didn't have much success with it - although she was much better with it if I put it on when we were not at home. I think if I had used it from the beginning and gone outside to do it she would have agreed to it more.
I have a Mei Tai Freehand. I like it because it's easy to throw in the diaper bag or whatever so I can use it if I need it and I'm out. I use it a lot when I'm grocery shopping because I can get around the store easier without having to be so close to the cart.

I think I saw it on Amazon or something for less. Maybe it was just one of the patterns. The Attachment Parenting board is really helpful on this topic.
