  I mean, it's probably the start of something... that could last a couple weeks.    I felt crampy all night last night but they went away when I got up.

  yeah that started for me at 35 and I'm only 2-2.5 centimeters now and it stopped I wouldn't get too concerned yet

  It may or may not be. Some women experience that right before they go into real labor. I've had those for weeks now. They are painful menstrual cramping like contractions. They are definitely doing something, but it may not necessarily be "it". Just prep work which is good, too!

  I had this on new year's eve, followed by more typical contractions that lasted for about 4-5 hours intermittently then disappeared all together.  It's hard not to get excited, I know.
