So sorry if I missed any BFPs from last week while I was OOT; let me know if I need to make changes to the list above.
QOTW: I'm having a hard time thinking of QOTW, so what was your favorite holiday gift?
Any updates?
ETA: Many congrats to Kirknsarah on your BFP!
Re: ***TTC check-in***
QOTW- I think my favorite gift was my new P&S from my in laws. Got lots of other great things, too.
UPDATE- none, still on birth control pills.
And I just started back up on the metformin yesterday.
It suuuuucks.
Clomid 50mg June '11 - BFN
Clomid 100 mg Oct '11 - BFN
Clomid 150 mg Nov '11 - BFP @9dpo! Beta#1 @10dpo: 22; Beta#2 @12dpo: 67 Beta#3 @18dpo: 1069! EDD 8-16-12
My (mostly) business travel blog
QOTW: My new wireless keyboard for my iPad so I can blog more easily and not have to deal with the laptop all the time.
Update: Second month of acupuncture; didn't really have a change in my cycle at all in the first month, but I have hopes that this month will be better.
I'm not TTC and I take Metformin for a completely different reason, but girl, I sympathize! That shiz gives me the, well...you know.
Can you add me? I'm not sure where I belong, though...probably "on hold." We've been "not trying but not preventing" for 9 months, knowing that nothing was likely to happen because it took us four IUIs to conceive DD due to CM issues.
We actually just got back from the RE. I made the appointment because I had a routine physical in October that showed I had a high TSH, and neither my OB/GYN nor my PCP wanted to do anything about it. But I read online about it causing miscarriages, so I wanted a third opinion. My RE confirmed what I had read and said it can also cause birth defects. He wants to do follow up lab work and then start me on meds for hypothyroidism. Then I have to wait four weeks before doing additional bloodwork to make sure the meds are working correctly. (And, yes, I'm going to be calling a new OB - I'm thinking about switching to Dr. Seeker).
He also said the fact that I am still nursing could be adding to my IF because, even though I have my cycle back, my prolactin levels may be too high. So he is going to test for that. If they are normal, we may be able to start IUIs once we get my thyroid under control, depending on if clomid is safe for nursing - which I think it may be based on Kelly Mom. If my prolactin levels aren't normal, I will have to wean DD before TTC...and I'm not sure I'm ready to do that yet! I wish it could just be easy!
Oh, and my favorite Christmas present is the Macbook DH and I bought for each other. LOVE IT.
Ask if you can get the extended release! I went from wanting to throw up 24/7 to only wanting to throw up a few hours a day.
Update: I got a small inheritance from my grandmother. It's enough for 1 round of treatment plus out out of pocket costs for a delivery. DH is still dragging his d@mn feet. He's (correctly) worried that it won't work on the first month and I will be devastated. He then goes off the deep end and envisions a scenario where we have blown through all of our savings on treatments, I have to go back to work and we have to put Kate in a "sh!tty preschool" and future baby in a "sh!tty daycare" because we are so broke. Basically, he wants to know why I want to ruin our child's life.
:
QOTW: A subscription to my favorite magazine, Bust.
ETA: Mainer- I
Dr Seeker. Switch. Do it.
QOTW: my lessons at the local equestrian center! Since I'm new to the facility and haven't ridden proper English-style in 15 years I have to use one of my lessons as a tack/groom refresher, but honestly I'm excited about that too! It's going to be so fun, I miss horseback riding so much. I'm totally rusty I'm sure, but at least this gives me something "fun" about not being pregnant... because after I get KU there's no way in hell DH will let me anywhere near a horse and I wouldn't want to risk it either.
Update: I'm 11dpo and all BFFNs so far. Because of the colopscopy/biopsy we had to wait to have sex until that was healed. We ended up sneaking in some tour-singapore time the day of ovulation and the day after, but it's looking like we missed the window, plus I still had some of that cervix-bandaid junk up in there that was probably blocking the entrance. Oh well. I'll probably take the prometrium through 13dpo just in case but I'm ready to move on to the next cycle.
BFP 12.20.2010 :: missed m/c 1/2011 around 8 weeks
BFP @ 9dpo 5.24.2011 :: missed m/c 6/2011 around 7 weeks

BFP @ 9dpo 2.1.2012 || HCG = 8 : Progesterone = 19.2
2nd HCG @ 11dpo = 40 || 3rd HCG @ 21dpo = over 5000!
Stick, little one, stick! EDD October 15, 2012
LOL, I'm already on the ER, but I'm glad to know it's not as bad as it could be!
And Mainer- DO IT. Do it NOW. He's amazing.
QOTW: I guess my favorite gifts this year were a Kindle, which I didn't even think I wanted but DH knew better, and my very first Le Creuset.
No real updates here either. I'm on day 13 right now waiting to O. I really hate the timing part of all this, I really feel like something is just off with our timing despite the use of OPKs. We're just trying to do a little extra this month and see if it works. I just keep telling myself, "it won't take a year and a half again" over and over. Maybe saying it all the time will make it come true somehow. Completely rational, I know.
QOTW: My parents got me/us a kindle and I'm so in love with it. She told me to share with DH, but he realized that it's probably not going to leave my hot little hands for quite some time.
QOTW: money, honey. That's all.
Update: Should O any day now and I really hope our timing works since I am going OOT this weekend. If this is not my month, then I have to go chat with the OBGYN about what to do next. GL to everyone!
QOTW: meh... christmas sucked. I'm taking back most of what I got. I feel like everyone phoned it in. Debbie downer anyone?
Update: Had my HSG last week and that hurt worse than I remembered it. Start injections with my next aunt flo... come on aunt flo!
Married October 28, 2006, TTC since March 2009 IUI #1-8 w/ clomid = BFN
IVF # 1 May, 2011 = BFP!!! Stillbirth at 26 weeks (placental failure/severe IUGR)
FET #1 February, 2012-- BFP! Beta #1=84 Beta #2= 207 Beta #3= 3,526
Our Rainbow Baby is on the Way!
Ooh, I am so jealous, what an awesome gift! I used to ride too, and I miss it so very much! Enjoy every minute!!
Can you add me to the list too? Eep! No updates yet, we're just getting back into it.
QOTW: Kelly Moore camera bag. I lurve it.
Sold. I am going to call tomorrow.
QOTW: I got a kindle fire and I'm in love with it. It's the best gift I have got in a long time. I also got almost $500 in giftcards for clothes so I am very excited about that.
Update; Just O'd and in the 2 week wait. Our timing was pretty good. I have been patiently waiting for the last year for my BFP. If I don't get that BFP I am calling the doctor to find out what's going on. It's a little bit scary but I'm a little relieved that I can now find answers if I have to.
TTC #1 since February 2011
BFP #1 1/14/12 EDD 9/24/12 m/c at 8w4d on 2/20/12
March 2012- Dx with PCOS, started metformin
July 2012- SA completely normal
I guess you can add me...we're planning to TTC this year and in the meantime we're in the not trying but not preventing category. Are the CBE fertility monitors good?
QOTW: we're pretty low key on Xmas, small gifts over here. My sister in law got me subscriptions to everyday foods and cooking light, so I'm excited about that. I may get myself a subscription to Clean Eating.
Not much to update here. AF showed up last week 7 days later than usual, so on to cycle 9.
QOTW: My new tablet that DH got me.
Thought I'd do an update since it has been a long time....
QOTW: everyone seems to be enjoying my new Keurig. I do wish they made more variety packs for it. I like trying new stuff.
Still doing TI. My chart looks pretty good (yay for acupuncture!) and our timing was decent. I think we will move to IUI after next cycle. If we aren't successful this cycle, then CD1 would be the day of our move and I will not be ready for testing and monitoring. Lots of waiting....
They are awesome! HIGHLY recommend them, fertility issues or not. No more guessing lines, guessing when to test, testing mulitple times a day. It tells you basically everything you need to know.
