I know there are quite a few with babies around 18 months now- how is everyone coping??

I remember this phase from ds, but OMG the whining, crying, drama. It just helps to know we are not alone, lol! How are you other mamas doing?

Re: For all of us going thru the 18 month phase...
Wait, is this 4 YO you're speaking of?
I *think* we're finally coming out of it a little now at 23 mos. I'm sure it will rear its ugly head again, but I'll take just a little bit of peace while I have it.
The whining was driving me NUTS! Everything was a high-pitch, drawn out, nasally sound. Blech! And over the dumbest things. Putting socks on, brushing teeth, oranges instead of pears for lunch, I cut her waffle wrong, there's not enough milk in the cup. And on and on and on.
Oh no, dont say that! And how are you 37 weeks already????
oh...my...exhaustedness
I had to kill an hour last night, so we went to the mall with no stroller. He wasted about 20 minutes total of that throwing himself on the floor. No yelling or movement, just laying on his back, but won't stand up if I try to pick him up. Fun times, right? lol He's not a great talker yet, so lots of things come out as "eh", and heaven forbid you get the wrong thing. So yes, I will commisserate with ya
I totally forgot about the Happiest Toddler... I am going to have to check that out!
Oi yes. And the hard part is being consistent - daycare is great, I like to think I am consistent, but DH sometimes has different priorities. [i.e., his baby girl has him wrapped around her finger]
Resulting in a child who knows how to work the system
This is us too .. I *Try* so hard to be consistent but for some reason I have been exhausted lately and it's so hard to deal with the whining and tantrums! And he doesn't talk very well, so there are a lot of tantrums if I don't get what he wants right ..
