My mother-in-law has been blowing up our phones every. single. day. - she calls the house, then each of our cells in sequence if we don't answer to find out if we're going to the hospital.
We've made clear that we're not calling anyone until after our son is born and we've had a few hours to recoup. She still calls.
So, the other night after blowing up our phones and us not answering, she called my mom. To find out if we were at the hospital. Yeah.
My mom answered "Well, even if I knew, I wouldn't tell you. I think we should respect their wishes." Then they got in an argument with my mom expressing all of the things I wanted to say but am not brave enough to. My mother-in-law told her if she find out we're in the hospital, she plans on showing up and waiting, even though we specifically said we're not comfortable with that! She thinks I'll be so tired after delivery that I'll cave and let her in right away.
It's my due date, there's no end in sight, and with every day I get fatter and angrier. But go mom.
Re: I love my mom.
Hahaha send me her number, I'll pass it on. My mom's a nurse and hates pushy, overeager visitors. She's volunteered to be my bodyguard and kick everyone (including herself) out when I am through with the visiting.
