I used to have the constipation for a few days, then all of a sudden, feel as if I couldn't hold it in...That was before the m/s kicked in, now that I have that about 24/7 and not eating much (I lost like 7 lbs in a week), and taking Zofran on top of that...I'm literally AFRAID to go...I know its going to hurt like hell -- When I have tried (because I felt the urg), it hurts, and it literally gets 'stuck'. I spend like 30 minute is the bathroom. I finally took a softener last night, hoping it will help. Any other remedies for people with 24/7 m/s that can't eat/drink much, or exercise much? Sorry for the TMI!
Re: This constipation is a pain in my butt....literally! (TMI)
This is exactly why I haven't taken a Zofran yet... Even though my m/s has been pretty intense with all three pregnancies, I would much rather fight the nausea than the constipation, JMHO. Drink A LOT of prune juice. You might be at the point where you'll need to take something with a stool stimulant like Phillip's. Or you might ask your OB to recommend a suppository (I know they're awful, but the last thing you want is an impacted bowel...)
GL and I hope you get some relief soon!!! Trust me, I've been there several times before. Trying not to strain is SO difficult (you might spend an hour or longer in the bathroom), but it can really help to prevent hemorrhoids down the road.
For the nausea, babiesbabiesbabies recommended B6 and Unisom, so I'm going to try that

I am in the same boat as you. Dang Zofran is a blessing, but really stopped the pipes. I have even tried eating bean burritos from Taco Bell and NOTHING!!! Good luck and if you find something that works, please share
