DD did this for a month +, but she finally figured out going forward!

Mine is about 50/50 between army and hands and knees. He did army for a long time, so its still faster than hands and knees.

This for sure. She's been army crawling since about 5.5 months and I keep waiting for her to just stick with hands and knees but she gets frustrated with it and army crawls everywhere because it's faster. I figure as long as she's crawling in some way and knows how to do hands and knees then she's fine.

I am pretty sure DD is just going to skip crawling altogether. She's not even close to getting there (she pushes up her chest, but nothing with the legs yet), and instead she wants to stand all.the.time. I give her two fingers when she's lying on her back or sitting and she pulls herself up to standing with my help then just grins, laughs, and reaches for things (she still needs to hold on to my hand or the playpen rail for balance). And when she sits she's starting to try to pull herself up to standing on her own. This kid is not going to crawl. I think she's going straight to running.

She does a modified army crawl/hands and knees one.

She gets on her hands and knees, rocks to push off and then after the push off finishes with the army crawl.

Very strange!

I have to laugh because she thinks she can stand already--but doesn't realize that we are the ones holding her up--so then gets so excited that she IS standing and lets go and thus falls.

Jonah taught himself how to pull up on the furniture about a month ago. The next day, he was cruising around the furniture. Now, he thinks he can walk, so he just lets go of whatever he is holding onto and tries to start out across the room to pick up whatever has caught his eye. The kid isn't afraid of anything!

He never did army crawl at all, and his version of crawling always included both hands, and his left knee and his right foot. He's gotten a lot faster with his crawling in the past 3 weeks or so.
