Nursing Strike - how long do I keep trying?

Before I accept defeat?

The last nursing strike before his 1st birthday lasted about 4 days.  He was still nursing in the AM, but refusing his bedtime session.

This strike is different because he's refusing it all together. :(  We've been down to two nursing sessions (AM/PM) for about a month and I noticed last week his morning session was getting shorter and shorter.  He was down to 2min before he started refusing all together.  I'm pumping to keep my supply going, but am only getting about an ounce which might explain why he's not interested anymore.

I really wanted to keep going through the cold and flu season, but I'm afraid he might be done this time, which I'm not prepared for.

Any advice?

    My DD went through a similar thing and I tried for about 5 days before I gave up.  After I stopped trying to feed her she never asked again.  Good luck.

    I kept trying for a week before he accepted again.  I kept telling him that it was fine if he wanted to stop but that I was afraid that it wouldn't be there again if he changed his mind.  I'd also tell him that you want to keep him healthy from cold/flu and this will help.  In the end, he did come back and I think it was really helpful we had that experience because weaning was easy for us.

    I'm not sure.  I never encountered one at that age.  But I know ashley'shoney did and her DS did go back to it and they continued a similar schedule for quite some time.

    Good memory! DS did nursing strike completely at 14 months. I remember thinking we were done, but I kept offering. Days later, sorry but I don't remember how many days, he finally accepted - I think it was a bedtime feed. We went back to am/pm and nursed until 31 months :)
