D.C. Area Babies

sick babies are so pathetic

Ugh. LO is sick (croup and an ear infection) and is just pathetic and sad. He whimpered all day yesterday, and slept a lot and then was up every two hours last night. Sad mommy.

He's home today with me, but I had two meetings I have to call into, so my mom came over to watch him. I hope he naps for her--they're rocking upstairs right now.

Before he got tired for his nap, though, he was very perky and bright and smiled a lot at Grandma, so I hope he's on the road to recovery. We just gave him the 4th dose of antibiotic, so it should hopefully have kicked in by now.

Re: sick babies are so pathetic

  • Double whammy, sorry.  Babies, especially when they are too little to talk or express themselves about being sick are just so helpless.  But being home with mom and grandma is probably a treat.  I hope he is getting better.

  • Poor little kid!

DS is teething like mad and just sits around whining - it's so pathetic.  And it's not like there is any strong medication we can give these kids (like "Mommy's Medication" aka a shot of bourbon Stick out tongue)

Wife, Musician, Fed, WW-er, and Mom of three little kids - not necessarily in that order.
  • Poor thing! I have to say except for the needy factor and not being able to tell you what is wrong with kids, I think my DH is more pathetic than H when he is sick. My tolerance of whining from my husband the past 2 weeks is reaching the limit! Wink
