Luke has been running a low fever (100-100.4) since about 10 last night. It's jumped up to 101 this morning. According to the pedi's website 100-102 is considered a "productive fever" and shouldn't be treated with meds unless the child isn't comfortable. Do you follow this rule? Luke seems content enough, just a bit tired, so I'm not sure what to do. Part of me feels like a horrible mother for not giving him something to bring the temperature down, but I also want him to kick this bug and if letting his "productive fever" continue is the way to do it then maybe I should. Help!
Re: Do you follow the "productive fever" rule?
Same here.
Ditto this. Except we use motrin (for DS1, not 2, obvs) because Tylenol doesn't really do anything for him (he must take after me in that regard!). Hope he gets to feeling better soon!
