quitting the pump after 1 year - any experience?

I've asked this before here, but I am hoping to get a few more replies than I did.

My baby will be a year on 2/10. We have a great nursing relationship. She does a few solids, mainly just whatever we're having she gets some, but she's still very much a boobie baby. Once she hits a year I'd **love** to ditch the pump, as I hate it and the time it eats. Currently I nurse through the night and right away in the morning, then when I get to school (I teach) around 8am. I pump again during my plan time at 2. I get home and nurse my baby any time between 5 and 5:30 and as she wishes until she goes to bed at 8, then again at 11 pm, and typically 3am. She's getting quite a bit of milk from me.

I'm thinking about starting to pump only at 2 until she turns 1. When she turns 1 I'd like to quit pumping at work. I'd hate for my supply to totally bomb out. I'd think that since we nurse so much while we're together that we'll be ok, but I'm just wondering if anyone has any personal experience for me. I'm having a hard time finding information on this through Dr. Google and I'd like to be able to make a more well informed decision.

I'm wondering about the same thing. I'm anxious to see what replies you get.

My DD will turn 8m next week, I currently pump 2 times at work. But would love to drop a session by March and pump only one time. And then stop pumping completely by April and use my freezer stash but still nurse her moprning, after 5pm and nights. She does the same thing, nurses whatever she wants after I get home, then at 8, at 12, at 330, and at 6. She is a reverse cycle baby and I dont mind....like you I'm hoping since she nurses all night that supply stays ok.

For now, I still have 2 months to keep pumping twice....:S
