Nat has has a cold for like 3 weeks and has spiked a fever the last few days. She was whimpering in her crib so I brought her in bed where DH and I were watching TV. After 1 sip of her bottle... all the food she ate all day "came up". She "got sick" like 4x in a row. All down the front of her, on me- you ladies know how it is- no big deal.
I cleaned her up, me up and got back in bed like 15 minutes later. DH was just staring at the ceiling, wide eyed. "omg it's so much puke, babies make so much puke. You didn't even get any on the bed. I can't even sleep I'm so scarred." We kinda laughed about it for a few minutes then turned off the lights. He turned to me and said, "babe... you're a good mommy... and moms are tough".
Re: Moms are tough! *kinda gross*
Awe, that is so sweet of your DH to say and think that.
The second I read your DH was staring at the ceiling, I thought the next words were going to be something about puke getting ON the ceiling. LOL. And yeah, puke on me, the baby/kid and non-carpeted floor, no big deal. But puke on the bed, uhg, I hate cleaning that mess!
That is so sweet. I love when they say things like that out of the blue.
And you're awesome for not getting any on the bed!
