6:00 is not the time I start my day

And yet I was up... Emma decided to wake up and cry. I had fed her two hours before, so I know she wasn't hungry. She got up and played around for an hour before screaming some more... I nursed her and she fell back asleep. And DH is not helpful. His excuse for not helping me at night is that he has to go to work in the morning. HELLO!? I might not go to a job, but do you think spending all day with Emma is a piece of cake, especially when you're so tired? I don't get to nap all day like she does if she wants to. I have things to get done. UGH! It's too early to be so cranky already.

Okay, just had to get that out... I'm done.

  • I'm right there with ya!  The cat decided to start screaming in the hallway for no reason at 3:45 and woke Cruz up and then he woke up at 5:45 so I gave hime a bottle changed him and put him back down.  He fussed and then played with his toys in his crib until 7:30.  However I never really go back to sleep because I end up listening to him!

  • Tell your DH this... Imagine you go to work all day, and then don't get to leave at the end of the day.  Just when you settle in to try to catch some sleep IN YOUR OFFICE, your boss comes in and says "hey, get up and get me some coffee"... so you do it, and you go back to sleep, and again, he comes in and says "hey, let's get some stuff done... I'll come in here for a while while we work"... then he lets you go back to sleep, only to come in at 6 and say "ok, lets get this day going, um and at em".... then periodically through the day, he comes in and out of your office, yells at you, makes smelly messes for you to clean up, etc... then at the end of the day, a supervisor comes in and expects to be fed and for the office to be all clean and for you to have taken care of everything.

Then ask who goes to the easier job every day!  :)

  • LMAO Oh I don't want to hear it...Crying 6am... sheesh... We get up every day at 5:30-6am... (ok... I am so jealous that you get to sleep later...Big Smile) Sorry! Sorta I wish 6am was early, for us we are 18 months still like to wake up in the middle of the night and get up at the crack of dawn...
  • I hear ya on this one. DS got up at 1230am not exactly sure why he had a leaky diaper and damp PJ then I gave him a bottle. And he is trying to crawl in his crib eek. I finally get back to sleep at about 130am and I have to get up for work at 530am. I am so tired today. DH does help he woke up as well and couldn't go back to sleep either. So no one got much sleep in our house last night.

  • Mason did this last Friday, up at 4:30, and wouldn't go back to sleep.  After laying in bed with me for 45 minutes we got up.  I was exhausted, but want him to realize we can't just cat nap all day, so we went and did stroller strides from 9-10, then home.  We both took a nap at 11.

You should allow yourself to take a nap when she does on these days, otherwise you won't last.
