I started feeling contractions Thursday evening around 6pm. They were about 10min apart when I was laying down. I had stomach cramping and an aching back so I called the doctor and he said if they got any closer together to go in to L&D. When my boyfriend got home from work the contractions had progressed to 6 min apart while laying down and 4 min apart walking around.
We got to the hospital at 10pm. I was 2cm dilated when we got there, my contractions were 4min apart while laying down. When they checked again at 12:30 i was 4cm dilated, 80%effaced, with contractions 2min apart. They officially admitted us at 12:30.
I slept from 4-6:30 am..they checked my cervix again at 8:00ish and i was 6cm dilated...so they broke my water for me and we were on our way to having a baby!! Around 12:00 they checked my cervix, I was a full 7cm. They hooked me up to pitocin to speed up the process and I got my epidural.
At about 3:30pm I started feeling as though the contraction pains were back, my midwife checked and it wasn?t the contractions I was feeling it was the fact that she was so low and it was time to push. I pushed for a half hour before our beautiful little girl entered the world.
Kyleigh Brynn was born at 4:20pm on December 30, 2011. She was 7lbs 15oz and 19.5in long.
She was a bit jaundice when she was born and was in the ?re-test? category when tested. She also did not pass her hearing test so we have to bring her in again next week. Her jaundice was tested again and she tested just fine, we couldn?t be happier. We got to bring our beautiful princess home on January 1st, and have been enjoying the time at home with our baby girl.

Beautiful - congrats to you and your boyfriend!
Glad to hear the jaundice is better. Our LO is dealing with that, too. We have to take him for his hearing screen on Monday since they forgot to do it at the hospital (DUH!). When the nurse called me after we got home to tell me they forgot to do it she said that it's not unusual for newborns not to pass the hearing screen, so try not to worry. I don't know how they can tell what they are hearing at this point anyway!
