My kid thinks his name is Bubby

Oh boy. How do I fix this?? I was telling DH that we need to start calling him Martin more instead of Bubby and his response was that it would be pretty awesome if he got old enough to have people ask him his name and have his response be "Bubby!" *sigh*

    I was just telling dh tonight that we need to start calling dd by her given name. She responds to Pookie, baby, Pudding Pop (that's what dh calls her) and other various names but never looks when I call her Sophia. But for some reason, when others address her by her name, she looks at them. It's weird.

    I always referred to Judah as my June bug when I was pregnant.  After naming him Judah I still found myself calling him June bug which then became Ju-bug.  He responds to it everytime!  We are making an effort to call him by his name more but it is a hard habit to break.

    I remember reading something this summer on one of those 'what your baby should be doing' emails that your baby should recognize his/her name. And I said to DH, I didn't think I'd EVER referred to DS as Michael. It was bubba, buddy, peanut, baby, etc... anything and everything except his name. We both started making an effort. I even made up a song that I sing to him. 'your name's Michael, my name's mama' blah blah blah. They'll all figure it out eventually. And if not, Bubby is really cute and not all that common. :)

    I always call Jacob, Jiggly Jacob.. then I make his rolls jiggle!!!!!!  He likes it and I giggle!!!!!

    I was just getting on DH about this the other day. He always calls DD "babies" and she always responds to it. I said you NEED to call her by her name.
