what does your lo weigh?

I was at the perinatal dr. today and he informed me that LO is 2 1/2 lbs! i think that he is way more than that or at least he has to be with all the pressure that is on my pelvis. So ladies what does your lo weigh?

Re: what does your lo weigh?

  • At 24 weeks, Baby A was 1lb 6oz (22%) and Baby B was 1lb 5oz (11%). I go next week on Tuesday for the next check with the peri to find out. My babies are tiny, though.

  • The pressure could just be the position the baby is in, as well.

    As of today, Twin A is an estimated 3 lbs 11 oz (53%) and Twin B is an estimated 4 lbs 6 oz (80%).  I'm 30 wks 2 d.

  • I don't know... my doctor said she was in the 11th percentile so he moved my due date back a few days so that she was in the 25th.  He didn't give me a weight though....

  • How are you ladies finding out this information?? I had my 20 week ultrasound and they won't do another until 37 weeks. =(

  • I wish I knew! I had a quickie U/S at 29 wks but my OB wouldn't check cause he said the baby's size was really irrelevant at this point unless he seemed to big or too small. So all he did was look at the ultrasound for a few min without taking measurements. He said "He's totally normal sized but your retaining a LOT of water and that's why you're measuring 3 wks ahead." Guess I won't know til the end.

  • My little guy is only 2 lbs 9 oz and I had my ultrasound on Monday.  He is in the 19th percentile and his weight has always been low.  I have numerous tests every week for this.  I hope he catches up because all this stuff has me nervous.  I think i'm going to have my next ultrasound at the hospital to see if the weights differ because there is always room for error with ultrasounds.

  • At 26 weeks, we had an u/s and my LO weighed in at 2lbs 7oz... which is a bit on the large side... so I'm guessing she's at least 3.5 lbs or more now.

  • I'm high risk, so I have monthly growth u/s at my perinatologist.  My last one was at 28w 3d, and she weighed 3lbs 3oz.  I didn't ask what percentile that was, but the dr said she's within a normal range.

  • At 29 weeks 5 days baby was 3 pounds & 3 ounces.

  • No clue. Only way to make an educated guess is with an u/s and I won't have any more of those!
  • At my last appointment at 28 weeks she was 3 pounds exactly.   Have to wait until the end of the month to get another upadate!

  • At 27w6d, Baby A was 2lbs 7oz and Baby B was 2lbs 10oz, 50th percentile.  Not sure when my next peri appt is but judging by the size of my belly over the past 3 weeks, I imagine they are over 3lbs each!
  • At my last 30 week U/S LO weighed 4lbs.

I wonder how accurate these are. I've had a couple friends say that they were off by a pound or two (they weighed lighter than they estimated when born). Also, my U/S was saying that my LO is measuring a little bit big but every time they measure my belly it's right on track with what's average/normal. Who knows!

  • Unless something goes wrong, I won't get any more ultrasounds, just the a/s at 20 weeks.  At that time, she weighed just about a pound, which they said was a week ahead.  My belly measured about a week behind at my last appointment (25 weeks).  So I'm guessing she is somewhere right about average (between 2.5 and 3 lbs?)

  • Last week at my ultrasound, the technician said this kiddo was about 2lbs 11 oz based on measurements.  I was a bit surprised by that since all the books and the bump say the baby would be around 2lbs at 27 weeks (week I was during the appointment).  This baby could be a big bubba!

At my last 30 week U/S LO weighed 4lbs.

I wonder how accurate these are. I've had a couple friends say that they were off by a pound or two (they weighed lighter than they estimated when born). Also, my U/S was saying that my LO is measuring a little bit big but every time they measure my belly it's right on track with what's average/normal. Who knows!

This is why I would not trust an u/s to tell me weight. Especially at this point.

My sister was measuring 41 weeks at 38 weeks. (via measuring tape). An u/s said the baby was well over 8lbs at the same appt. She was induced (for other reasons) at 39 weeks and baby weighed 7lb 4oz...

  • At this mornings peri appointment (28 w 3d) he is 2lbs 10oz. So I'm guessing right about 50% but she didn't give me the percentage.

  • My last u/s was at 25 weeks (it was an elective) and he weighed 1.5 lbs, which I'm guessing is normal, since the baby updates I get said "your baby is about 1.5 lbs" at 25 weeks. My next u/s (another elective) is at 34 weeks. Belly measurements have been right on track according to my MW.

  • I had an ultra sound at 28 weeks because I was measuring big and sure enough my LO was measuring a little big. He was 3lbs 3oz which was a week ahead of schedule. They told us he was in the 65th percent tile.

This is not a shocker both myself and my husband are above average when it comes to height so we are expecting a bigger kid.

  • At 28 weeks he was weighing in at 1 lb. 14 oz. He has always been on the smaller side so they are checking u/s weekly. We are checking him tomorrow again (I am 30 weeks and 4 days) and I am hoping he had a growth spurt!! Grow baby, grow!
  • Doc told me today 3 1/2 pounds (29w2d), and she said that's right on track. I didn't get a percentile and compared to what some of you are sharing that number sounds pretty big, but I'm not worried, she looked great!
