Hey ladies, I'm having a really tough day

I've been cramping off and on with pelvic pressure and lower back pain since about 1:30, it eases off and then gets more intense. I've drank a lot, I don't think its bladder or bowel related (although a full bladder seems to make it worse).

I'm already off work, on prometrium and on restrictions. DH just took DS out for a bit so Ic an fully relax (although I slept in until 11 and napped from 3-5) if it doesn't ease off I'm contemplating going in to triage. I don't really want to because my OB does not wanting me to be "checked" too much, last time i went in thats what they did and it caused spotting.

Although now that I'm over 24 weeks I coudl have the ffn test done and get steroids if necessary. I'm supposed to go for an ultrasound in the next week or so to check my cervical length, I just wish they would stop. I'm timing it now to see if I should head in. I just needed to vent.

I'm so sorry. I know how difficult the uncertainty of this all is. I hope the cramping eases up tonight so you don't have to go into triage.

Could you possibly have a bladder infection or an UTI?

I'm sorry you're still having so many problems. If you go in, can't you just refuse any internal checks?

Maybe try and hold off until morning and call your OB and ask what they suggest. Please keep us updated and you will be in my bedtime prayers tonight!!

I'm so sorry to hear you are dealing with this. Is there a way to go in and ask to avoid an internal check unless absolutely necessary given what you doctor has recommended? Please keep us posted. I'll be thinking of you.

Thanks ladies, I stopped timing them because I was stressing out and focusing on it way too much, I think its about the same tho, every 7-12 minutes I get a cramp or contraction, its uncomfortable but not unbearable. In my lower abdomen and back with pelvic pressure. I have my warm magic bag on, its soothing but nothing has relieved it. Its not super intense and I'm palpating my uterus, it doesn't really get hard. I took some Tylenol and I'm hoping to sleep, I am calling my OB in the AM and asking for a urine culture and hoping to see him sooner then the 28th, which is my next appointment. If I get very uncomfortable I will go in, but I"m hoping to avoid it. I work there, I feel like everyone thinks I'm a dum dum. I wish my body would just cooperate with me! DHs says we are doen after this, second pregnancy, second time on bedrest, I love being pregnant I guess I'm just not good at it.

Don't feel dumb over this- AT ALL. Call in the morning (if you feel like you can wait) and insist on seeing your OB. You can't help what your body does and it's completely normal and natural to worry about it. I know that's easier said than done (I was so embarrassed to call my Doc on the weekend and ask for nausea meds after I had stomach flu and days later still couldn't hold down a bite) but you can't worry about that, just do what you think is best for you and baby.
