2 diff. brands for mei tai's.. any reviews.

I have an ergo ~ but currently my LO is too small for it.. even with the insert. I use the moby wrap all the time.. but keep reading about mei tai's and love the look of them.. feel like they are good happy medium between the ergo and mei tai.

I feel like from the photos that the babyhawk has good shoulder padding and well made.. I also found this company ~ https://kozycarrier.homestead.com/Index.html

called kozy carrier and was wondering if anyone has one or knows how it compairs to the babyhawk.

Both are good but for a newborn, I'd definitely go with the babyhawk. The Kozy has a much larger body and is better for bigger babies/toddlers IMO. You can even tie a ribbon around the bottom of the babyhawk to make it small enough for your wee one to be legs out. My siggy link has more babywearing info if you need it ;-)

I get the feeling I am in the minority based on reviews I have read on this board but I disliked the babyhawk mei tai. The straps that tie around the waist cut into me and really hurt. They aren't padded like the shoulders and cut into the skin. I don't consider myself to have an excess of skin in that area either - I'm 5 8" and weigh about 150. No matter what I tried I could not keep the waist straps flat.
