I am right now waiting to hear back from our pediatrician, but of course a mother can't help find answers as soon as possible. I have just started research on DHA and ARA, our daughter, 13 months has been drinking regular milk for a few months now, took well to drinking cows milk so far only organic. We usually have Stonyfield or Amish Market milk (forget the brand name). A few days ago I picked up Organic Valley, which has Omega 2 DHA, etc, without really paying attention to the fact that this is all added to the regular milk, big mistake, both times she had it she threw up, I looked at the date, fine, I looked at the ingredients, not so great. So I searched Omega 3 DHA, Infants and this is what I found...https://www.cornucopia.org/2008/01/replacing-mother-infant-formula-report/?gclid=CNbk-JyEtK0CFScRNAodzlcxlQ
I urge we do some research and do what needs to be done.
Let me know your thoughts please.
Thanks
Re: DHA
Just throwing out a couple ideas....
I know with milk, powdering it causes oxidation. It could be that in powdered formula the same thing also happens to the DHA supplements.
Also, in the link you posted, the DHA was extracted from algea. Where the Organic Valley Omega-3s are from fish. As far as the Organic Valley milk, could it be that your daughter has intolerance to fish?
