Finacea for acne?

Has anyone used this? I am at wits end with the breakouts and need to do something. I have never used anything from a dermatologist before but he recommedned this because it is supposed to be safe. I just need to get the ok from my ob before he will prescribe but wanted to see if anyone used it before

    I use it for acne that my dermatologist said came from rosacea.  It has worked for me as long as I'm consistent morning and night- less effective if only once a day.  I still supplement with clindamycin sometimes if there is a persistent blemish.  It is also safe in pregnancy.

    I'm using Finacea for my acne now as well. I was using much stronger stuff before I was pregnant and my skin looked fantastic. Now, I look like a 14 year old going through puberty. It's not really clearing my skin but it's helping it to not get totally out of control. I was told I can also used benzoyl peroxide cleanser so I make sure I wash with that daily as well.

    I was told by my OB that there haven't been enough studies on products of this nature for her to feel safe with me using anything that stays on your skin.  I'm allowed to use an acne wash, but that is it.
