Why is that so hard to understand?!?!?! >:(

OK seriously I'm getting so ticked off at the same question from the same people. Constantly I'm asked "so are you still working, when are you taking your materninty leave?" My answer is always the same, I'm going on leave when I go into labor, I can't take any time off prior.

Then again a week or two later same people ask the same fn question. "So are you still working" YES, When are you going on your leave WHEN I POP. And so it goes round and round!

Are people dense?!

    the same 3 people aske me my due date every week and have since i started showing in like July....now I wouldn't expect coworkers to commit my DD to memory but if you are going to ask EVERY week write it down please.

    Right there with you. Some people have been cool about it. One person said to me, "Wow, your kid is going to be a really hard worker if this is the example that you are setting."

    But mostly, I get the feeling that people think I am a bad person for not taking the time off. My company policy is that maternity leave begins when the LO arrives. If I want to take time off before that I either have to use my PTO time (pointless since I don't know when LO is gong to arrive) or be put on bedrest. I have zero interest in sitting around doing nothing all day. I get bored when I work from home!

    What sucks is these people are all just genuinely interested, but they don't realize that every other person that you encounter is askign the same questions.

    I'm getting asked that a lot too - my job is not physically demanding, if I need to leave a little early/come in a little late because I'm tired, etc., then that's ok, so really taking time off before LO arrives would just result in me sitting at home and going stir-crazy, or washing baby things over and over again, folding and refolding every.single.onsie, etc. - I'm going to keep working as long as I can, if only for my own sanity!

    I'm getting that question too, but for me, it's not an issue of me being bored if I were sitting at home or even company policy issue - it's that I want to keep getting a paycheck for as long as I can!

    Me: Stage II endo, borderline high FSH
    DH: perfect
    1 lap, 5 IUIs = 4 BFNs and 1 c/p
    2 IVFs, 2 FETs = 1 BFN, 1 c/p, 1 ectopic and finally a sticky BFP in May 2011!

    As much as I love my pregnancy, I really hate talking about it with people I don't know that well.  I'm ready for a new conversation, damn it!

    I'm at the point ladies, where I DREAD having to go to the bathroom at work.  EVERY single person makes me talk about the pregnancy.  I understand people are interested and yes I DO look like I'm ready to pop ( I don't mind those comments) but having to tell every single person the same thing like 5-8 times a day is driving me crazy.

    And yes people don't ever seem to remember what they asked you just last week!  The same person has asked me like every week how long I'm working until too.  And the other lady down the hall keeps telling me she's hoping my baby will be due on her daughter's birthday.  Because I give a S*** when her daughter was born right? I don't even know this lady's name.

    Anyway.  I don't mind some small talk but every single conversation I have with people has to involve my pregnancy.  I'm ready for a new conversation too!!! OR actually i'm ready for NO MORE conversations with random people.

    Yes I'm still working, yes I'm uncomfortable, yes I'm ready to meet him, no I'm not oging to sit around home by myself wasting my leave time to fret about when he'll come. Thanks for asking. Move along!
