Hi all,

Well I'm back from my bump hiatus.  Getting AF on Christmas was just too much for me and I pretty much shut down after that.  Then I got a cold / flu and missed our WTF appt. with our RE on 12/29.  So, for this cycle, we're continuing the same plan...Clomid, midcycle u/s, Ovidrel trigger, timed intercourse.  AGAIN.  I'm getting very frustrated with our RE...we've been trying since 08/2010 and with her since 01/2011 and we still don't have our take home baby.  AND I'm going to be 38 next month.  I feel like she's not being aggressive enough.  I'm really starting to wonder if DH's low morphology is what's holding us back.  I respond to the Clomid like a champ...at least 3 good size, mature follies every time we've done this and still no BFP.  So, I really feel like we're just spinning our wheels at this point by doing the same plan over and over again.  DH and I decided that 2012 is it for us.  If we don't have our successful pregnancy during this year, we're calling it quits and moving towards adoption.  Sigh....

Anyway, I'll be catching up today on all the posts I've missed in the past week and a half or so and I wish all of you wonderful ladies much success and happiness in 2012!

    I am so sorry about AF and getting sick...nothing like that to put a damper on the holidays.  Wishing you the best of luck for 2012..may we all have moved to PG 35 by the end of it!

    Ugh, I'm sorry you are having a rough time and are frustrated with your doctor. Have you considered (or has your doctor recommended) doing an IUI?  We have morphology issues, and our doctor seemed to think IUIs would help.  Of course, they haven't, so maybe it doesn't matter anyway. 

    Not to be intrusive, but I was curious whether your treatement plan is because (1) your doctor didn't think a more aggressive measure like IUI would help (2) you guys don't want to pursue intervention beyond fertility meds and timed intercourse, or (3) some combination of 1&2.

    Thanks for the support, ladies!

    Owl - to answer your question...my RE wanted us to stick with the current regimen for at least 3-4 cycles (which we did) and then we were supposed to discuss getting more aggressive with this current cycle at the WTF appt on 12/29/11.  But, I got sick and had to reschedule that appt (which is now on Jan. 16th).  That's how we ended up doing the same ol thing this cycle.  If we're not successful, I'm sure we'll be doing an IUI next cycle.  I really think we're going to continue striking out because of this morphology issue unless we get more aggressive.
