I need some advice on partially weaning my DS, who just turned one.
I am happy to keep breastfeeding, but my problem is that I work part-time, 20 hours a week, and I'm needing to stop pumping while at work. Right now when he's at home he nurses 4-5 times per day (always in the morning, before naps, and bedtime, and sometimes in the late afternoon). I've introduced cow's milk so he can have that when he's at daycare, but he's kind of hit or miss with it.
Also, he's used to nursing to sleep or taking the bottle to sleep for naps at daycare. I don't really know how to transition him to going to sleep without a bottle. He does well with a cup at meals, so I'm not really wanting to put cow's milk in the bottle, but I'm not sure how to get him laid down without it. Any thoughts? Is it possible to have him nurse just a couple times on days I work, but still keep nursing the 4-5 times when I'm home?
Re: XP: Breastfeeding past 1 year while working
Have you tried just giving water in the sleeping bottles?
I would drop 1 pump session/week at work, and then just let him nurse as he wants to when you're together.
