I'm about 12 weeks along and I am suffering from a constant headache...have been for about 3 days. I wake up with it and just about go to sleep with it. My queasiness prevents me for the most part from taking tylenol...does anyone else have any suggestions on how to help?!
Re: Headaches...UGH!
I've been forcing down Tylenol and drinking LOTS of water, a small amount of caffeine, and V-8 (low-sodium). I still feel a dull headache, but it's not as bad as the migraines I've had the past few days.
I hope you feel better!
I have had constant headaches for the last 2 weeks or so...I do take Tylenol, but that help is only marginal...
/ Here's to hoping it passes quickly!
I did get the OK to take Unisom, which is my understanding, is prescribed often for m/s along with B6... I have had terrible insomnia, so I've taken that a few times a week and it helps to get rid of the headache, at least while sleeping.
I also got the OK to take Unisom and B6. Also on Reglan for the nausea.
I got straight Tylenol, got the OK to take the kind with the caffeine but my stomach did NOT like the coating. My FI thought the kind that are tabs, like coated in almost like plastic, would be better and they were.
Other than that, acupressure points on your temples (don't do the hand one during pregnancy), heat/cold on your forehead and neck, dark room, soothing music, rubbing my eyebrows helps.
GL, I have chronic migraines as well. I would try to combat the nausea in order to take the Tylenol, instead of avoiding the Tylenol.
