OB/GYN Recommendation- St. Luke's

Hi Ladies-I was wondering if anyone could give me some direction. My husband and I are currently TTC and I am looking for a doctor since I've really just been getting yearly exams from my PCP. I think I've narrowed it down to Dr. Janet Matuszek or Dr. Julie Gould. Both are out of St. Luke's in Chesterfield and I've heard great things about both so I'm having issues deciding. Does anyone have any good or bad stories that could help my decision? I can't say that I'm against pain meds, an epidural, etc since I've never gone through labor before, but I would really like to have the option of keeping things as natural as possible without a doctor pushing for pain meds, induction, or an epidural if it's not necessary or what I want. I appreciate any help. I'm also open to other suggestions for a doctor if you really think highly of someone. Thanks a bunch!

Re: OB/GYN Recommendation- St. Luke's

  • I see Dr. Matuszek and I love her and the staff in the office.  I have had two kids with Janet and have been very happy both times (vaginal delivery and c/s).  I also love the other doctor in the practice, for she has a wonderful bedside manner and was great when she came to see me in the hospital.

  • I also go to Dr. Matuszek but I see her at the St Peters location for normal appts.  Dr. Ott is one of the other doctors in the practice and actually delivered my first child.  She was great and made the delivery smooth and actually fairly easy.

  • I see Dr. Gould & she delivered both of my kids via c/s. I delivered at St. John's b/c that's where I work but I absolutely love Dr. Gould. I've referred many friends to her and they all love her too. Her office staff is always really friendly and easy to work with. Good luck!!

I delivered in January and had Dr. Gould as my obgyn. I LOVED her. I seriously can't say enough great things about her :) She always took extra time to answer all of my questions and I never felt rushed. The office staff is also wonderful and learned my name quickly.
