... since i'm always posting about something just as i'm hyperventilating and breathing into a paper bag. So, here it is, finally some good news.... drumroll please.... WE ARE SLEEPING AT NIGHT!!!! WOOHOOOOO!!!!!
I feel like i can say this now because it's been two weeks (just watch me completely jinx myself). As i was angsting over CIO (remember how the pedi had given me the green light on this?), bought a video monitor to evaluate the girl a bit more...all of a sudden, like a switch, she just decided to only wake up twice a night. I don't know if she heard us talking and decided to toe the line ;-) or whether she just was developmentally ready. Each time she wakes up, she is legitimately hungry and i have no qualms about getting up for those times. I'm so lucky to have an amazing kid, seeing as i'm completely neurotic. Thank God for my laid-back hubby to be a calming influence and voice of reason to us all... and thank God for you ladies to tell me to stop talking crazy ;-)
Now, if we could just get over that damn nursing strike that she's decided to do just when mom returns to work... Moms of two kiddos, please tell me that you worry a little less with the second one (lie to me if you have to because my poor husband may also tear his hair out if he has to hear about the 'latest concern' with further kiddos!!!)
Re: I feel like i should give you all some good news for a change :-)
YAY!!!!! sleep, wonderful sleep!!! i just posted about this last week. my 15mo FINALLY started STTN and it is the most fantastic thing ever!!!
yes, the second one gets away with murder, has far fewer rules and mom and dad care far less about what kind of trouble they are getting into!
Yay! They are always changing things up on you that first year and sometimes it is for the better.
And yes you are more laid back with #2. I really did not obsess over Molly's sleep like I did with Maggie, she got what she got and I facilitated as much as possible but I didn't freak out over it like I did with Maggie.
