Stay at Home Moms

Anyone else's H back to work today?

H was home for 11 lovely days!!!  Back to work today.  i loved having him home.  Sometimes he "messes up" our routine, but since the baby came along, our routine has greatly changed, so when he's home, he's on duty with the boys, and I'm on baby duty.  It has been soooo nice having 2 sets of hands. And it's been so much fun being together as a family so much.   He works really long days so I'm back to solo duty M-F.  Kinda depressing.

  • DH was off from the 17th till the 1st. Although he should have had yesterday off, they made a mistake with the schedule (works for the school board) and he had to go back.

It was great having so much help with our dd....esp that I am so big and pg.

He will be off 3 weeks when we have this next baby.....24 days it comes to with weekends. I can't wait.

  • J had two three day weekends in a row and now he's back to work. I'm a little sad, too, because he'll be leaving on Friday for two days for work and we won't have a day off together again til the 15th.

Last night he cleaned the whole kitchen and made lasagna for dinner, I was so impressed!

  • The ILs were here for our ENTIRE time off, so I was sad to have DH leave for work the same day the ILs left. It would have been nice to have some family time. Maybe next year...
  • DH went back to work today.  He has been off for nearly a month between paternity leave and the holidays.  It is my first day with the two kids - so far so good but I am not expecting it to stay this way.

  • Mine is, although he didn't really have vacation.  He worked at home on Friday and was off Monday.  It felt like he was home forever because worked a ton of hours in December and traveled for a week.  It was great.

Now, like you said, back to the grind.

  • FI had a half day the friday before christmas, then that monday off, and then he took the 29th (mybday off) and had a half day the next day (friday) and then had monday off! Now hes back to work, and even tho he didnt have the whole week off I miss him! I wish he was off today too, and every other day lol. He used to work from home and kind of made his own hours. So him being at work is still a little werid.
  • H just went back to work, and Goo and I are pouting. Goo spent most of H's time off in and out of the hospital, so it wasn't much of a vacation.

  • Yep and little man cried when he walked out the door! We have a unique set up so we tried to enjoy every single second. It was hard at time because DH has been sick and can't shake this terrible cough.

  • Yes! It was great having him home to help out with DS, I got some much needed projects done.  I will miss having him home, but selfishly, like my own routines with DS, that are now back to normal.

Same here!  I was able to clean out our guest room, get the Christmas decos down and a good top-to-bottom house cleaning done- and I even got to sleep in a few days!!!  We will miss having him home but some "normalcy" is nice, too. P is already napping better!

  • Yup after being off for two weeks. I'm happy to see him go!  Don't get me wrong I miss him and love having him home. But I need order and routine which we don't have when he's home.

  • Mine's going back today, he's been off since the 23rd. He hasn't taken more than a 4 day weekend in 18 months, so he needed the break! I'll miss having him around, and now he'll be pushing to the end since he's defending his dissertation this spring, so he'll be putting in loooong hours for the next few months!

  • Yes.  My DH is a teacher so was off all last week.  I was sad to see him go but we were both ready.  Things just run smoother when it's just me here with the kids.

He was also getting a little sick of DS' constant whining!!  (too bad I don't have an escape from it though, grr!)

  • Yup, my DH went back to work today.  Although, he wound up not being able to have the whole week off last week like originally planned.  They needed him to come in to do a few things, so he worked Wednesday and Thursday (until 9:00pm), so that he didn't have to go in on Friday.

  • Yes and it's a good thing...he might not have lasted another day without me biatch slapping his a$$. He's so great, I love him to death, but he does not know how to co-parent DD right now. LOL He has zero idea of the ways I discipline, rules, etc. It's not a big deal, just a bit annoying. :)
