DH just had an older male co-worker over for the Rose Bowl and we somehow got on the topic of Kasey Khane and his rant about breastfeeding mothers.
DH's co-worker tried to pull the "take your baby to a bathroom and feed it" over on me.
I promptly replied "Well, would you like to eat your meal in a public restroom?"
DH smiled and old dude STFU.
Re: I love it when I make an excellent point and it shuts a person up.

One of the malls nearby has a nursing room that I am super excited to use one day. It's clean, comfy and looks very nice. It's for nursing moms only. I wish more places had rooms like these.
Public bathrooms generally smell like air freshener and shiit mixed together. I don't even like to pee in them, let alone eat in one.
Good for you!!!
Feeding my future child in the restroom is not an option, and anyone who has a problem with it can bite me.
HEY! Feel better about your toothbrush. Mythbusters did a thing on exactly that and the toothbrushes in the bathroom didn't have more extra fecal chloriform on them than the ones that were kept outside the bathroom under a plastic dome. (all were used to brush teeth with the whole time)
But I agree that it is SUPER annoying when people say crap like that. Granted our mall's bathrooms have big benches that are convenient to sit on to feed if I had to, they also have a food court and benches and tables/chairs near all the food vendors, so I certainly wouldn't ever need to do it in the restroom.
This drives me crazy! Whenever I go in a public washroom and I can tell a women is nursing (once I had a stomach "upset" and felt so bad after RUNNING to a stall to realize the was an empty babyseat and audibly baby nursing sounds in the next stall!) I feel sad for the baby and women.
I would NEVER feed in a bathroom ever. We vacationed with DS at 8 months and stopped at teh Georgia aquarium, I was shocked that when I asked about a place to nurse they suggested I carry a chair from the food court into the women's bathroom as they had no nursing rooms. I used the chair alright, right there in the food court! The WOMEN who suggested I use the washroom look non too impressed.
