Maybe a little hormonal but you are allowed! My mom and dad have been leaving me out of EVERYTHING for the last 3 months...my mom even tells my sisters 'not to upset me in this condition.' They probably just don't want to worry you!

My feelings would have been hurt too. I had a similar situation when I was in Japan last year and learned via Facebook that my dad was in the hosptial. I understand that I couldn't be called but an email would have been nice! Thankfully he ended up being fine but I was still worried. Appearantly my Mom had asked my little sister to email me but she "forgot" or something and just posted on FB instead.

That's crazy how your brothers and sisters were able to visit and call, I bet they were trying not to upset you. Last time I was pregnant, my grandmother had a heart attack the week I was to deliver and no one told me. I was livid!Maybe just drive down tomorrow to show your family you can handle it and want o see your mom.

First off- I totally get why you are hurt and I probably would be, too..

BUT! When I first read it, I saw it as your dad trying to protect you from stress. I know if I had been called the night before, I would have been up all night worrying if my mom was ok. Maybe he thought you'd be the same way and wanted to spare you a sleepless night? Either way, it does suck...

I hope your mom is in and out of the hospital quickly!
