Girl vs Boy

With my DS I had no nausea. This time around Im nauseas all the time and I actually threw up yesterday. I never did that with DS. So everyone is telling me its a girl this time which I laugh everytime I hear, But it made me think has anyone noticed different symptoms in your boy vs girl pregnancies?

Re: Girl vs Boy

  • Yes! This pregnancy is a lot like mine w/ DD. Even my mom and friend have noticed it's almost like deja vous. My son had me so sick I lost 17lbs in 8 weeks and I was hospitalized twice. It was so hard. I'm nausious a lot just like I was w/ DD but for the most part I can function. I never called off work when I was preg. w/ DD and I couldn't move sometimes for an entire day when I was pregnant with DS. This time around, I manage. I take care of both kids and make it through the day. I can eat, I just feel like crud after. With DS I couldn't even eat (which is one of the reasons I got hospitalized). I have noticed major differences.

  • Every pregnancy is different, even with the same sex babies.  With that said, I too feel different this time around so I guess we will see if it's a girl in a couple of weeks :)

  • I was barely sick with DS and am so sick this time around.  I keep getting all the comments that you are receiving, too.  Part of me wants to believe it will be a girl, but really I know every pregnancy can be so different.

I have had an instinct from the start that I'm having a girl though.  I had the same thought with DS (I just had a feeling it was a boy).  Who knows...

  • Thanks for the input I know symptoms mean nothing. I was just curious what everyones experience was with different pregnancies. With DS I knew he was a boy. Just had that feeling. This time I have no feeling either way and I almost like the surprise factor better!

It's very funny.. I feel that way, too!! When I was pregnant last time, I swore it was a boy.. I had dreams about having a boy, every time I referred to the baby I said "he", it just.. felt like a boy.. unfortunately, we mc'ed before that was confirmed.. but, this time around.. I have no feelings either way.. so strange :)  We'll see if maybe later I'll start to get a feeling one way or the other.. but, definitely weirdddddd!!!
