Leaning forward...ugh

I realize there have been a lot of posts about ligament pain, cramping, etc. but I thought it would be too early to already feel uncomfortable leaning forward while sitting. I feel like really the only way I feel comfortable and not like I have pressure in my ute area is to lean back with my legs extended under my desk. If I sit forward for too long, it starts to hurt. Ugh... Anybody else?

  • I do, especially when I straighten up - yeeouch! I'm most comfortable leaning back with my legs extended/feet up too.

  • EXACT same thing here!!! Youre not alone! I was really worried thinking somethin was wrong but I've had 0 bleeding/spotting and I find the babies heartbeat on the Doppler every day so I'm assuming it's just everything stretching!

  • I know exactly how you feel, and it's not too early for round ligament pain, when you read something about it saying it is more common later in the second trimester remember that all women are different and some may experience some things earlier or later than others. I personally have been having these pains since I was about 9-10 weeks. Just another wonderful aspect of pregnancy I must say! I think it's good to have these types of stretching feelings, makes me feel my body is doing it's job.

I'm not worried about the RLP and I know its not too early for that. I've also been having cramps off and on my entire pregnancy so I've come to accept those as normal for me. I just figured it wouldn't be difficult or uncomfortable to lean forward until my belly was bigger that's all! It just seems silly since there's not much there, but I guess it makes sense.

  • Yeah I know what you mean about the difficulty leaning forward.. I have never felt this before and this is my third pregnancy. I have had trouble but I also have somewhat of a bump already so I do feel more of a pressure sensation that's very low...

  • Funny thing...that is what told me to take a HPT.  The night before I took the test I had terrible pain when I rolled over in bed.  Obviously I was a few days late for AF but, I remember thinking "oh...that's different!"  I still have that pain every once in a while...

  • Yep! I cant sit at the computer to long anymore because I have a crappy computer chair that I tend to slouch in. I notice when I sit straight and hold myself up I feel much better. If im slouchy it really feels like a lot of pressure on my belly Tongue Tied

  • I definitely feel uncomfortable when leaning forward - whether sitting on the couch leanding forward to my plate that's on the table in front of me, sitting on the floor to put my shoes on, or just leaning forward with my elbows on my knees watching tv or reading.  There's just too much squeezing going on in my belly!  And some of my pants are definitely feeling too tight when doing those manuevers.  I've always been one to lounge around the house in sweats or pj pants for comfort but now it's a lot more important to me!  Sweats & pj pants put no pressure on the tummy!
