Re: Bumpie New Year's Resolutions
No drinking for us (DH "retired" from drinking 16 years ago, and I would rather eat the Ho-Ho's I bought at the convenience store), but we're snuggling in to relax and watch a movie. Tomorrow we're hopefully going to discuss the criteria we're looking for in an egg donor.
I hope 2012 brings good news to all of us! Happy New Year!
After (I drink a little) tonight, my resolution is to work off 10 pounds in January so I'm not too bloated from fertility drugs when i start!
other things I will try to attempt: laugh more, pray more, worry less!
This is to 2012 being better than this year! Pick your poison:

My parents are here tonight visiting, so we are having a mellow night in. Plan to go to church in the morning, so don't want to drag. Shook my tail last night at my grandmother's 95th birthday party
. Off to do some cooking!
IVF #1: 9/13/12. ER: 9/25. 3R, 2M, 1F. ET: 9/28 (1-6B). Beta: moved from 10/11 to 10/10: BFN.
IVF #2: 11/12 cycle postponed due to Sandy and then cancelled due to elevated E2.
IVF #2.1 cancelled due to cyst.
IVF #2.2: 2/2/13. Converted to IUI. BFN
P/SAIF Welcome.
My Blog
My resolution is make healthier food choices at lunch time. DH is a good cook and he has dinner duty during the week so I eat pretty healthy there. But lunch time i'm a mess- I always think about packing my lunch but rarely do so I end up running out and grabbing fast food.
Here's hoping that 2012 is a great year for everyone with tons of BFP's on the board!
My resolutions are:
Happy New Years Day!!!
I have the most boring NY resolution ever: to organize my online usernames and passwords (to make them more secure). Did you fall asleep reading that? On a more fun note, I also want to see each of my college girlfriends this year (there are six of us and we are all over the country). It's either going to be one big GTG or a bunch of cross country weekend trips.
Wishing everyone a healthy and productive (wink wink) 2012!
TTC #2 since July 2010
March 2012 IVF (MDL Protocol) Started stims 3/3; ER 3/11 (9R, 8M, 7F) ET 3/16 (5dt of 2 blasts graded 3AB and 3BA, 3 frosties(!!) Beta 3/26 = 386; Beta 3/28 = 827; u/s 4/11 says TWINS! Boy/Girl Twins delivered at 36 weeks 6 days
Love it! It's simple, totally doable, and there will be one less annoying thing to think about. I always picture drive-bys as self absorbed, ding-bats with no social skills. I'll join you in ignoring them. I like it when they have 30 views and no replies! We'll ice them out.
My other goal is to have more fun this year. I was a total sad sack in 2011, and I'm not doing that again. I'm going to enjoy the heck out of life.
Hope you had a great New Year's Eve! Best wishes to all the ladies for a happy 2012.
McIrish, you are awesome.
I might have the most boring resolution yet....to floss my teeth every day. I really wanted to make my resolutions to spend more money and eat less healthfully -- at least then I could stick to them.
Happy New Year to all!
I am still recovering from last night. I told myself this was going to be my last NYE as s single gal with no kids so I better enjoy it. And THAT is my resolution.
Although I don't make resolutions. I have the same one very year - to be better - a better version of who I already am. And then I make a master "to-do" in 2012 list which I have not started yet, except to write "make 2012 list" at the bottom of the 2011 list which for the most part is done. It's a boring list though. Mostly things like change AC filter and repaint inside of pantry.
Happy 2012 to you all!!!
I am so sorry for your loss.
Oh my gosh, Petra, I literally did that today -- I took a few hours this morning (ugh) to clean out thousands of emails in my work email box. I couldn't believe how much crap had accumulated in there. Most of it was deleting but some was re-filing. It feels so good to have it done. Phew! I don't want to go back there... hopefully I can stay on top of it.
I resolve to:
1. Make sure I don't forget to nurture the most important relationships to me: faith, family, friends.
2. Don't begin obsessing about having a baby but truly enjoy the baby dance!
3. Begin exercising more (OK confession: begin exercising!) and eat healthier. Perhaps I'll drop a few of these unwanted pounds in the process!
I think that's it......
Happy New Year everyone!
My hopes for 2012:
1. gain some acceptance of being "childless".
2. to find a job I love and that loves my special talents.
3. continue to love my DH and my furbabies.
4. to win the lottery ....then I may not have to accept #1
