My LO is about to be 10 months and at this point I have no veggie purees left in my freezer and I'm wondering if I should even bother making more?? I still have fruits that I mix with yogurt or oatmeal. But she's been eating all her veggies as finger foods. I'm just worried she's not eating as much as she was in a puree form. Even tho it's gotta be since I froze whole veggies in the ice cube tray so it's the same serving size??
What is everyone else doing at this stage??
Just curious while I have you, how many bottles and how many oz in each bottle are you giving??
Re: Purees at 10 months?
Our LO's are about the same age. I am finished with purees and officially put the baby food maker away. My LO is a great eater (knock on wood), so I am not concerned about how much he is eating and sometimes feel like he eats a ton!
I BF and he takes a minimum of 30oz per day in addition to his 3 solid meals and snacks of mum-mums and puffs. He gets BM at 7am, 10am, 1pm, 4pm, 7pm, and 10pm. I plan to wean at 1 year and will drop the 1pm feeding first.
Hope this helps.
We never did purees so I think it would be totally fine to stop. I wouldn't worry about her eating as much - there's not a magic amount given that solids are just slowly starting to become a part of her calorie requirements and are still largely for practice.
No clue on oz as we just nurse on demand and it varies.

I know what you mean. I want my freezer back but I also want to make sure DD gets enough. She's an excellent eater though. I just pureed some squash and sweet potato, and will do some peaches soon, just to have some fruits and veggies for when we're having someting that's not baby friendly. Otherwise, she'll have what we're having or I'll just do a few peas or carrots (or something small and easy) just for her.
ETA: we bf 5x a day (4am, 7am, mid-morning, mid-afternoon, and bedtime). I'm going back to work soon, so will switch to formula for the mid-day snacks. Judging by the few times she's had formula during the day before, she'll probably drink 4-6 oz. during the day (x2). I'll tell the DCP to offer formula first and solid snacks second. I'll let DD decide what she's more interested in. She'll be 11 months, so I'm not too concerned about forcing the formula.

The two bottles she gets are 6 oz and I'm considering doing one 8 oz instead. When she BF's in the morning and at night she's draining both breasts so I'm guessing she's getting btwn 6-8 oz during those feedings. I'm gonna give it a shot this week and see how she does with it. I've also decided to stop making veggie purees! She loves to feed herself and eats finger foods really well so I think she'll be okay without them!
Thanks everyone!
DS still likes purees sometimes. It seems to be when he is really hungry and too impatient for finger foods. Other times he refuses the spoon and wants to pick up his food for himself. So, I still keep them around.
He still has 4 or 5 bottles each day. The first three are 4-6 oz and his bottle right before bedtime is about 8 oz.
