My dads friends wife made all of my daughters clothes and a few blankets into a beautiful stocking for her. Maybe you can have some made into a blanket or something similiar.
I made it past my goal I nursed for 1 year and 6 weeks! Im so proud of myself!
I voted for getting rid of most of them. There's not future baby even on your radar and the odds of you having another girl in the same season at the same age as your DD was, is pretty slim. At least that's the logic I use when selling DS's clothes to Once Upon a Child. I do keep a few of my favorite outfits from each size and season, but that's it.
Haha - this is me!!! Except my DD is 6. I have tubs upon tubs of clothes, toys, etc. I just recently divorced, so this is my goal in the spring. It's so outdated now too I voted no even though I was the hopeful someday I might have another one girl too!
Until SO and I got serious, I had planned on being one and done so I have always gotten rid of DD's clothes after she outgrows them. Usually I give them to someone I know who has a DD a year younger than DD so in the same seasons for clothes. Anyway, even though SO and I plan on having another LO it won't be until DD is in Kindergarden.
I have kept a few special items like DD's holiday outfits and halloween costumes etc.
I say keep the favorites in each size and donate the rest. I have a neighbor with a DS a few months older than B and she gives me everything he outgrows. Once B has outgrown them, I pay it forward by giving everything that's in good shape to a friend so she can use them for her DS. I told her when she's done with them to donate what's worth it and toss the rest.
It was awesome when he was a newborn because they grew so fast they only wear things once or twice. Now- we are a little harder on the clothes he wears since they get worn a million times.
I gave one set of the girls' clothing to my niece, and the other set to a friend. I was one & done, but ended up pregnant with twins. And then SURPRISE - this baby came along. I did keep nice smocked & special occasion outfits, though.
